Prompt & Chance creates cozy, whimsical journaling games that blend creative writing, reflection, and play. Each experience uses prompts, story-driven choices, and a little chance to help you stop staring at a blank page and start discovering what happens next.
How it started
My parents used to find me reading curled up in a sleeping bag, hiding in their closet, walking down the street—anywhere and everywhere. I first started writing in Tumblr RPG's, then creative writing classes, and eventually building Dungeons & Dragons campaigns for friends. But as I got older, writing began to feel serious. I became focused on making something good instead of giving myself room to explore, and eventually I stopped writing altogether.
Solo journaling games helped me find my way back. Instead of planning every detail or trying to write perfectly, I could react to a prompt, roll the dice, and follow the story wherever it led. Writing felt playful again, and I started stretching my imagination instead of creating the stories I was used to.
I created Prompt & Chance to share that feeling with other writers, journalers, daydreamers, and curious beginners. Plus, I love sending letters in the mail.
